Meghan Tierney

Ancient Arts of Mexico

Mounted thanks to the Mexican Consulate of Albuquerque, this exhibition will highlight 28 reproductions of objects from the collection of the National Museum of Anthropology and History in Mexico City. The exhibition will also ideally include ancient Mexican objects from the collection of the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology and UNM student responses and interpretations of Maya ceramics. This exhibition will challenge current trends in museum display and interpretation of ancient American art.
