Janie Gonzales

Vida!

Vida” is a community-based art exhibit of current undergraduate and graduate University of New Mexico students’ artwork.   The unsuspecting viewers will encounter original fine art in an unusual time and place - medical and social service waiting rooms, entries, and corridors.  They will then be invited to physically participate in “Vida” with not only their comments but also their own creative artistic responses.

Janie Perry Gonzales is a University of New Mexico student with plans to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2007.  She is concentrating in Studio Arts and especially enjoys painting and drawing.  Blessed with the gift of tears, she often incorporates emotion and architectural and Spanish elements in her diverse artwork.  Being a non-traditional student, she is one of the proud grandmothers on campus.
