Eryn Lynn Forrest
The Pie
Erin Forrest is originally from California’s Bay Area and has called New Mexico home for six years. An artist, educator and instigator, Erin has worked with community-based social justice and violence-prevention programs for longer than she can remember. The experiences and ideologies gained from this work inform all of her projects. Currently pursuing a Masters of Fine Art degree at UNM, Erin draws, sews and welds but likes making things happen with other people most of all.
Built on the belief that community begins where you are, The Pie creates opportunities for people to gather and share. Through the development of garden spaces and combined activities of art-making, dancing, how-to workshops and pot-lucking, The Pie encourages collective participation among students at UNM and with our neighbors.
